Watch for the coming of the Florida Jewish Scholastic Chess Association
If your school is a Jewish day school in Florida, and you are willing to advertise chess tournaments which will be held on Sundays, we will be glad to have you as a member affiliate. There is no financial cost. We invite you to have your school host a chess tournament, open to all persons. The school will, if it wishes offer kosher food and will hopefully make money from that. The schools which host a tournament can be compensated for providing a venue. The participating schools should make sure their students who are interested in chess know about the tournaments. We will produce a web-site and newsletter if we can in the near future. Please do contact me to have a contact person from your school be on our emailing list, which will only be used to announce our events, and for member schools to give their input. All events will be on Sundays and will respect Jewish school policies.
