Chess Instruction

Private chess instruction for tournament players and beginners is our forte. Intelligent interested kids willing to spend time can get to a rating of aproximately 150 times their age in a short time ( example 8 year old => 1200 rating )

Group chess lessons  are a fun way for the semi-serious chess student with multiple interests. Small groups arranged by age and skill level can be effectively trained to improve their skills while enjoying live over-the-board competition with their peers! The students in these groups get personal attention and individualized guidance for their particular ambitions, schedule, and level of interest.

School chess programs  are the best way for a school to show that they are interested in kids learning how to think. Chess programs are usually implemented as a 1-hour / week after school enrichment programs.

The emphasis is on getting students to take a keen interest in chess, and getting some of the kids to represent the school chess team in highly visible intramural competitions which enhance the image of the school.

Various other instruction services  are offered to enable people of all ages and all levels of skill and/or seriousness to get instruction tailored to their budget and interest level.

We care about our students and we hang our hat on THEIR success. Noone should care if their childs chess trainer won a bunch of awards or tournaments, they want their child to enjoy their educational experience and to win awards and tournaments if they are so motivated!!

We focus on the success of the student. If they do not enjoy the instruction and benefit from it, then it does not matter if the coach has an astronomical rating!!
